Job description
As a member of the Mergers & Acquisitions Finance (M&A-Finance) team, you will play a crucial role in supporting various M&A activities.
Your responsibilities will include: - M&A Deal Sourcing and Target Screening: - Identifying acquisition, merger, strategic investment, and partnership opportunities.
• Conducting industry, market, and competitor research.
• Building and maintaining target pipelines.
• Evaluating strategic fit, market positioning, financial performance, and synergy potential.
• Financial Analysis and Valuation: - Analyzing financial statements and operating metrics.
• Building financial models.
• Performing DCF, Comparable Company Analysis, and Precedent Transaction Analysis.
• Assessing synergies and value creation opportunities.
• Financial Due Diligence: - Participating in financial due diligence.
• Reviewing revenue quality, profitability, working capital, cash flows, debt, and tax exposures.
• Coordinating with external advisors and identifying transaction risks.
• Performing in-house DD for smaller value transactions.
• Transaction Execution Support: - Supporting deal execution from evaluation through closing.
• Coordinating with bankers, legal advisors, consultants, and internal stakeholders.
• Preparing investment committee and board materials.
• Signing-to-Closing Activities: - Managing activities between signing and closing.
• Tracking Conditions Precedent (CPs).
• Coordinating regulatory approvals and compliance requirements.
• Monitoring interim business performance and transaction risks.
• Research and Strategic Analysis: - Conducting industry research and monitoring M&A trends.
• Preparing management presentations and strategic reports.
Qualifications Required: - Education: MBA (Finance), CA, CFA, or equivalent qualification.
• Experience: 23 years in M&A, Corporate Development, Investment Banking, Transaction Advisory, Big 4 Deal Advisory, Private Equity, Venture Capital, or Financial Consulting.
Skills Required: - Strong understanding of the M&A transaction lifecycle.
• Knowledge of deal sourcing, target screening, financial due diligence, valuation, and financial modeling.
• Strong financial statement analysis skills.
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint proficiency.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
