About the Role
We are looking for a motivated Junior Investment Banking Analyst to join the team in Gurugram.
This role is designed for early-career candidates who want to build a long-term career in investment banking, M&A, private equity, corporate finance, or transaction advisory.
The Analyst will support the deal team across research, financial analysis, transaction documentation, seller onboarding, buyer/investor mapping, and day-to-day execution support.
The role offers strong hands-on exposure to live M&A and capital raising transactions while working closely with senior deal professionals.
Key Responsibilities
Transaction Support
Support the team in live M&A and capital raising transactions.
Assist in preparing pitch decks, teasers, company profiles, CIMs, transaction summaries, and other deal materials.
Conduct basic financial and business analysis using Excel.
Help maintain transaction trackers, deal documents, and internal reporting files.
Support due diligence coordination, document collection, and data room organization.
Seller Onboarding
Assist in gathering business, financial, and operational information from clients.
Support business assessment and onboarding activities.
Help organize client information for transaction preparation.
Coordinate with internal team members to ensure required documents and details are collected on time.
Buyer & Investor Research
Conduct market research and company research.
Identify potential strategic buyers, investors, and relevant market participants.
Support buyer mapping, investor tracking, and outreach preparation.
Maintain structured databases of buyers, investors, sectors, and transaction opportunities.
Requirements
0–2 years of experience in finance, investment banking, corporate finance, transaction advisory, audit, consulting, research, or related areas.
Internship experience in investment banking, M&A, valuation, audit, consulting, or financial research will also be considered.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Commerce, or a related field.
Basic understanding of financial statements, valuation concepts, business research, and corporate finance.
Good Excel and PowerPoint skills.
Exposure to financial modeling, company research, valuation, pitch decks, teasers, or transaction materials will be an advantage.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
High attention to detail and ability to work on documentation, research, and analysis-heavy tasks.
Willingness to learn, take ownership, and work in a fast-paced transaction environment.
Interest in building a long-term career in investment banking, M&A, private equity, or corporate finance.
