What role will you play in the team: As an Investment Banking Analyst focusing on M&A Advisory, you will be a crucial member of the deal team, supporting senior bankers in executing transactions.
Your work will directly contribute to the success of mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic initiatives for our clients.
What you will do: You'll be responsible for conducting in-depth financial analysis, building complex financial models, and preparing presentation materials for client meetings.
Your analysis will inform strategic decisions and contribute to the overall success of M&A transactions.
Key responsibilities: Conduct detailed financial analysis, including valuation, financial forecasting, and sensitivity analysis.
Build and maintain complex financial models using Excel to support M&A transactions and strategic initiatives.
Prepare presentation materials, including pitch books, teasers, and management presentations, for client meetings and roadshows.
Conduct industry research and competitive analysis to identify potential M&A targets and opportunities.
Assist in the due diligence process, including reviewing financial statements, contracts, and other relevant documents.
Support senior bankers in negotiating deal terms and managing the transaction process from start to finish.
Monitor and analyze industry trends, regulatory developments, and market conditions to identify potential risks and opportunities.
Contribute to the development of new business opportunities by identifying and researching potential clients and transactions.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all transactions and client interactions.
Collaborate with other teams within the firm, including legal, accounting, and tax, to ensure smooth execution of transactions.
Required Qualification and Skills: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field.
Strong financial modeling skills and proficiency in Excel, including Macros and VBA.
Experience with financial databases such as Bloomberg Terminal, FactSet, and Capital IQ.
Knowledge of valuation techniques, including DCF, LBO, and Comparable Company Analysis.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Understanding of the M&A process and related regulations.
Experience with M&A Modeling Tools and Dealogic is a plus.
Knowledge of Capital Markets Platforms and Eikon.
