Purpose of the role
This role exists to be a key member, responsible for financial accounting, reporting & financial planning, and analysis for GIC India as part of Corporate Finance team.
It includes annual budget preparation, monthly book close and variance, tax compliances and leading other projects independently end to end.
This role entails a key Corporate Finance team member, who will support GIC functional leaders / controllers / team members in financial accounting, reporting, budgeting, analysis, and compliance.
Candidates must possess a proven ability work effectively with multiple layers within an organization, especially experience working with Finance team.
Individual in this role is expected to have excellent planning and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and anticipate needs of leaders.
Key Accountabilities
50% of Time
Tax Compliance
Validate and analyze GST returns and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance Monitor and track GST input tax credit (ITC), including reconciliation with books and returns Prepare GST refund workings and coordinate timely filing Liaise with external consultants for GST notices, assessments, and data submissions Compile and review responses to tax notices and ensure timely closure Prepare monthly TDS computations as per statutory requirements and share with the Tax team Ensure accurate deduction, reconciliation, and timely deposit of TDS Prepare and maintain monthly GST/TDS schedules in Blackline as per reporting timelines Manage STPI compliance, including periodic filings and documentation Coordinate and execute asset debonding processes in line with regulatory requirements Perform periodic reconciliations between GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B) and financial records Identify and highlight compliance gaps or risks and recommend corrective actions Maintain proper documentation to support audits
