Job description
As a Credit & Client Risk Management (CCR) professional at Standard Chartered Bank, you will play a crucial role in delivering top-notch credit analysis, monitoring, and credit administration services to stakeholders.
Your responsibilities will include conducting thorough credit assessments, proposing internal corporate ratings, assessing sustainability and environmental risks, analyzing fraud risks, reputational risks, and submitting written recommendations for approvals to the credit risk department.
Additionally, you will be tasked with proactively managing the credit risk of a complex portfolio of Global Credit Markets (GCM) accounts in coordination with the deal team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive credit assessments and propose internal corporate ratings for counterparty credit profiles.
• Assess sustainability, environmental risks, fraud risks, and reputational risks for GCM accounts.
• Manage credit risk through monitoring and analysis for a complex portfolio of GCM accounts.
• Proactively engage in credit analysis activities such as BCA renewals, performance reporting, waiver requests, and documentation of credit events.
• Evaluate risks associated with various financial solutions and assets.
• Perform financial analysis, including ratio analysis, balance sheet analysis, and cash flow analysis.
• Analyze project cash flows, financial models, and security evaluations.
• Assess project company management, risks, and mitigation strategies.
• Lead waivers, consents, amendments, and extensions processes.
• Ensure accuracy of internal risk ratings and input financial data into rating systems.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders for timely approval decisions.
• Work closely with onshore analysts and credit officers to evaluate and monitor client portfolios.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives and support new joiners in the team.
• Assist in team management tasks and deliver domain-specific presentations for knowledge enhancement.
Processes:
- Monitor, review, and report covenanted items.
• Conduct quarterly portfolio reporting and risk/return analysis.
• Respond timely to portfolio queries and ad hoc reporting requests.
• Maintain complete and auditable credit files.
• Ensure timeliness and quality of credit analysis.

• Actively participate in projects impacting the GCM Portfolio.
