Senior Associate, Operational Risk Management

As an Operational Risk Management professional at DBS Bank, India, your role will involve supporting the Head of RMG - Operational Risk (India) in implementing and monitoring the Operational Risk Management (ORM) Framework within the Business and Support Units. Your key responsibilities will include: Facilitating the implementation and adherence to the ORM Framework to identify, assess, mitigate, measure, monitor, and report key operational risks within the BU/SU. Maintaining relationships with Unit Operational Risk Managers (UORMs) and escalating operational risk issues to RMG and line management. Contributing to department initiatives using Data Analytics to enhance operational risk management. Ensuring satisfactory ratings in audit reviews and compliance with regulatory requirements. Your duties and responsibilities will involve providing guidance and training on operational risk matters to BU/SU, engaging with UORMs on risk tools and methodologies, liaising with partners in control and support functions, managing the ORMS system for risk reporting, conducting reviews on operational risk metrics, and assessing the effectiveness of mitigation plans. Qualifications6-8 years of experience in Operational Risk Management/Audit in a financial institution with a large branch network. Knowledge of Operational Risk in Digital Products is an added advantage.CA/MBA preferred. In terms of core competencies, you should possess good communication and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to work with individuals at different levels. Strong analytical skills and technical competencies in banking products/services, operational risk exposure identification, and mitigating controls are essential. Experience in Consumer Banking, especially Branch Banking, and familiarity with Digital products and Ecosystem partnerships would be beneficial. Your work relationships will involve collaborating with business/support units to implement operational risk management processes effectively.
