Harman Finochem Limited is a leading India-based pharmaceutical company, established in 1983, with a strong presence in global markets.
The company specializes in the manufacturing and export of 45+Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs).
We operate two USFDA-approved manufacturing facilities at Shendra and Chikalthana, Aurangabad, along with an USFDA-approved Oral Solid Dosage (OSD) manufacturing facility for contract manufacturing and development services. API R&D facility in Navi Mumbai.
As part of our growth strategy, we are expanding into specialty chemicals at Amravati and developing a new greenfield API manufacturing facility.

Role & responsibilitiesIdentifying highpotential, niche, and sustainable products across geographies through structured market intelligence, crossfunctional collaboration, and longterm strategic planning.
Develop longterm and mediumterm portfolio strategies aligned with organizational growth objectives.
Identify niche, highvalue products going offpatent or showing strong consumption growth.
Track patent expiry landscapes, DMF filings, and supplier concentration globally.
Identify products with Few global or Indian suppliers, Limited DMF filings & Growing demand but constrained supplyConduct geographywise consumption analysis with growth projections.
Focus on select geographies for targeted portfolio expansion.
Work closely with:Marketing to validate market size, pricing, competition, and customer needsR&D to assess technical feasibility, timelines, and development risksTop Management to align portfolio priorities with business strategyDrive the structured product selection workflowPrepare business cases including market opportunity, investment requirements, and risk assessment.
Support final product selection and ensure clarity on development milestones and commercialization plans.
Periodically review portfolio performance and recommend course corrections as needed.
Key Skills & Competencies
Strong understanding of pharmaceutical markets, APIs, specialty products, and niche therapeutic segmentsExpertise in portfolio management, patent analysis, DMF landscape assessment, and demandsupply dynamics
Experience & Qualification4-12+ years of experience in pharma strategy, business development, marketing, or portfolio planningProven exposure to regulated markets (US/EU/Japan preferred)Background in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Life Sciences, MBA preferred
