Role Overview
Inspire Talent is seeking an experienced Murex Connectivity Specialist to join a major technology programme with one of our Investment Banking clients.
The successful candidate will have strong experience working within the Murex MX.3 environment, with particular expertise in connectivity, interfaces and the integration of Murex with upstream and downstream systems.
This is an opportunity to work within a complex front-to-back capital markets environment, supporting business-critical trading and post-trade technology across multiple systems and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, configure and support Murex connectivity and integration solutions.
Build and maintain interfaces between Murex and upstream/downstream systems.
Support the integration of trade, market data, reference data and other financial data flows into and out of Murex.
Configure and maintain Murex interfaces, workflows and connectivity components.
Support real-time and batch-based integration processes.
Analyse existing interfaces and identify opportunities to improve performance, resilience and scalability.
Investigate and resolve connectivity, messaging and data flow issues across the Murex environment.
Work closely with Murex functional teams, developers, infrastructure teams and business stakeholders.
Support testing activities including system integration testing, UAT and regression testing.
Assist with production releases, implementation and post-deployment support.
Produce and maintain technical documentation covering interfaces, data flows, configurations and support procedures.
Ensure solutions meet appropriate standards for security, resilience, performance and operational support.
Essential Skills & Experience
Candidates should have:
Strong hands-on experience with Murex MX.3.
Demonstrable experience in Murex Connectivity / Integration.
Experience developing and supporting interfaces between Murex and external systems.
Good understanding of Murex architecture and front-to-back workflows.
Experience with trade and market data integration.
Strong knowledge of integration technologies, messaging and data exchange.
Experience working with APIs, XML and data transformation.
Strong SQL and relational database knowledge.
Good Unix/Linux skills, including scripting and troubleshooting.
Experience investigating complex production and integration issues.
Understanding of batch processing, scheduling and monitoring.
Experience working within controlled SDLC and change management environments.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Ability to work effectively with technical and business stakeholders.
Capital Markets Experience
Candidates should have experience working within Investment Banking, Capital Markets or Financial Markets technology.
A good understanding of the trade lifecycle and how Murex supports front-to-back processing would be highly beneficial, including exposure to areas such as:
Front Office and tradingTrade capture and processingMarket and reference dataPricing and valuationRiskOperations and settlementsConfirmation and post-trade processingAccounting and reporting
Experience across asset classes such as FX, Rates, Fixed Income, Credit or Derivatives would also be advantageous.
