Job description
As key member of the Corporate Finance team, responsibilities include the following:
1.
Overseas companies Accounts and consolidation
• Manage accounting of foreign subsidiaries/overseas entities; review and ensure accurate books as per local laws and accounting standards.
• Consolidate financial statements into the holding company, including necessary adjustments (for transfer pricing, foreign exchange, intercompany transactions).
• Ensure compliance with relevant International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) or other applicable standards, or local GAAP as required.
2. MIS & Budget
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, annual management accounts / MIS reporting, including P&L, balance sheet, Accounts receivable, cash flow, and variance analysis.
• Critically analyze the MIS and issue a monthly / quarterly report to business heads, CFO.
• Assist budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
• Analyze all capital expenditure and investment proposals of the companies
3.
Audit & Internal Controls
• Handle / Coordinate with the help of local finance heads quarterly and year end statutory audits including coordination with respective external auditors.
• Build and maintain a robust internal control environment (processes, policies, systems) to safeguard assets, ensure accurate financials.
• Intercompany reconciliations with group companies for purchase / sale of goods and services and for loans and advances.
4.
Banking Operations of group companies
• Interacting with local banks of group companies for day-to-day operations in coordination with local Finance teams
• Coordinating with Corporate Finance Banking section for arranging and renewal of working capital limits for group companies
5.
Taxation & Local Compliances
• In cooperation with local Finance Heads ensure complete local tax compliance including filing of various returns
• Keep abreast of local tax and VAT laws
• In coordination with local Finance Heads and Corporate Company Secretary ensure all company law compliances including Board meetings and minutes
6.
Transfer Pricing
• Ensure the group companies have appropriate transfer pricing policies and documentation
• Ensure compliance with global / local transfer pricing regulations for all group companies
• Manage audits / assessments or reviews related to transfer pricing for group companies.
7.
Assisting top management in restructuring of group companies
• Handling mergers & demergers including company valuation & other procedures.
