Associate / AVP – TMT Coverage (Investment Banking) Department: Investment Banking • TMT Coverage (Technology, Media & Telecommunications) Location: Bengaluru Job Summary The Associate/AVP – TMT Coverage will be responsible for originating and managing client relationships within the Technology, Media & Telecommunications (TMT) sector while supporting the execution of capital market and advisory transactions. The role requires strong sector knowledge, financial analysis capabilities, and the ability to identify and convert business opportunities into mandates. Key Responsibilities Develop and manage relationships with promoters, founders, CXOs, and key stakeholders across the Technology, Media & Telecommunications sector. Identify and originate Investment Banking opportunities, including IPOs, QIPs, Rights Issues, Preferential Issues, OFS, Private Placements, M&A, and strategic advisory mandates. Prepare high-quality pitch books, client presentations, sector reports, and transaction proposals. Conduct detailed industry research, financial analysis, valuation, and company benchmarking. Build and maintain robust financial models and valuation analyses using DCF, Comparable Companies, and Precedent Transactions. Coordinate with execution teams, legal advisors, auditors, investors, and other stakeholders throughout the transaction lifecycle. Track sector trends, fundraising activity, M&A transactions, regulatory developments, and competitive dynamics. Support senior bankers in client meetings, mandate pitches, negotiations, and business development initiatives. Maintain a strong pipeline of prospective clients and contribute to revenue generation. Qualifications MBA (Finance), CA, CFA, or equivalent professional qualification. Experience 4–8 years of relevant experience in Investment Banking, Corporate Finance, or Capital Markets. Prior experience covering Technology, Media & Telecommunications companies is strongly preferred. Demonstrated experience in client coverage, business origination, and transaction execution. Required Skills Strong understanding of the TMT ecosystem, including Technology, Software, SaaS, Internet, Digital Platforms, Telecom, IT Services, Media, and Emerging Technologies. Financial Modeling and Valuation expertise. Excellent presentation and communication skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. Ability to manage multiple transactions and work under tight deadlines.
