What role will you play in the team: As an Investment Banking Analyst specializing in M&A, you will be a crucial part of the deal team, supporting senior bankers in all phases of transaction execution.
Your work will directly influence the success of M&A deals.
You will work on valuations, financial models, and presentations.
What you will do: You will build detailed financial models, conduct industry research, prepare client presentations, and assist in due diligence processes.
Your efforts will directly support the deal-making process and contribute to the firm's revenue generation.
Key responsibility:Conduct financial statement analysis and build complex financial models using Excel.
Perform valuation analysis using various methodologies including DCF, LBO, and comparable company analysis.
Conduct industry and company-specific research to identify potential M&A targets.
Prepare pitch books and presentations for client meetings using PowerPoint.
Assist in the due diligence process by gathering and analyzing data.
Monitor market trends and regulatory changes impacting the M&A landscape.
Support the senior bankers in deal structuring and negotiation.
Maintain accurate records of all transactions and client communications.
Adhere to regulatory requirements and ethical standards.
Participate in team meetings and training sessions.
Required Qualification and Skills:Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
Strong understanding of financial statements and accounting principles.
Proficiency in building financial models using Excel, including macros and VBA.
Experience with valuation techniques such as DCF, LBO, and comparable company analysis.
Familiarity with financial data platforms such as Bloomberg Terminal, FactSet, or Capital IQ.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
Knowledge of M&A deal processes and legal requirements.
Willingness to work long hours and travel as needed.
