Role Overview: As a Junior M&A Specialist, you will support senior bankers in executing mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures. You'll conduct financial analysis, build valuation models, and participate in client presentations, contributing to the overall success of deal execution. You will be a crucial part of the deal team. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct in-depth industry research to identify potential M&A targets and acquirers. • Develop detailed financial models, including DCF, LBO, and comparable company analysis. • Assist in the preparation of pitch books and presentation materials for client meetings. • Support due diligence processes by analyzing financial statements and conducting data analysis. • Monitor market trends and track competitor activity to provide insights to senior bankers. • Participate in deal execution, including coordinating with legal and accounting advisors. • Maintain and update transaction databases to ensure accurate record-keeping. • Assist in the preparation of term sheets and other transaction documents. • Conduct sensitivity analysis to assess the impact of different assumptions on valuation. • Support the development of marketing materials to promote the firm's M&A capabilities. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field. • Strong understanding of financial analysis and valuation techniques. • Proficiency in Excel, including financial modeling and data analysis. • Experience with Bloomberg Terminal and Capital IQ. • Excellent communication and presentation skills. • Ability to work effectively in a team environment. • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. • Knowledge of M&A processes and regulations is a plus. • Demonstrated interest in investment banking and financial markets. • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
