As an Investment Analyst/ Equity Research Analyst at our company based in Chennai, you will be responsible for conducting in-depth research and analysis on stocks.
Your role will involve the following key responsibilities:
- Strong accounting foundation and proficiency in building financial models from scratch
• Preference for conducting primary research through on-ground checks and speaking to ecosystem partners
• Willingness to adapt views based on changing facts and conducting honest post-mortems on investment ideas
• Research-heavy activities such as reading, modeling, channel checks, and report writing, rather than client-facing sales
• Working in a small-team environment with high ownership, low hierarchy, and minimal hand-holding once expectations are set
• Emphasis on intellectual honesty, curiosity, thesis quality, depth of work, and readiness to engage in debates
Qualifications for this role include a CA, CFA, or MBA certification, although these are considered advantageous rather than mandatory if you possess the requisite skills and experience.
