Head of Fund Management- Family office

MUST HAVE : Experience in fund management ( Indian and International) for a mid • to • large size family office. About the Company A 75 year old Indian conglomerate with presence in India and abroad managing different business verticals and entities. Location: Mangalore, India Reporting To: Group CFO About the Role Responsibilities The Fund Manager will oversee and manage the investment portfolio and financial affairs of the family office. The role involves strategic asset al location, investment evaluation, risk management, wealth preservation, and coordination with external advisors to achieve long-term financial objectives. The portfolio has Indian and International components. Investment Management Develop and implement investment strategies aligned with family objectivesManage diversified portfolios across:Equities, Fixed income, Real estate, Private equity, Venture capital, Alternative assetsMonitor market trends and identify investment opportunitiesConduct due diligence on investment proposals and fund managersPortfolio Monitoring Track portfolio performance and benchmark returnsPrepare periodic investment reports and dashboardsRebalance portfolios based on market conditions and risk appetiteRisk & Compliance Assess financial and operational risksEnsure regulatory and tax complianceCoordinate with auditors, legal advisors, and tax consultantsWealth & Estate Planning Support succession planning and inter-generational wealth transferAssist in trust structures and estate planningManage liquidity and cash flow requirementsStakeholder Management Present investment recommendations to family principalsMaintain relationships with banks, private equity firms, and advisorsCoordinate philanthropic and strategic investment initiatives if required Preferred Qualifications MBA Finance / CA / CFA / CFP with 8–20 years experience in Wealth management Investment banking Private banking Asset management Family office operations Skills Required Portfolio constructionFinancial modelling and valuationTax and regulatory understandingConfidentiality and discretionStrong communication and presentation skillsRelationship management
