Role Overview:
You will oversee the core investment and portfolio management functions of the fund management entity.
Your role requires strong expertise in fund operations, portfolio strategy, compliance adherence, regulatory reporting, and investor management.
You will be primarily responsible for ensuring the entity's investment activities are conducted in accordance with applicable laws, internal risk frameworks, and industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise the management of investment portfolios in line with approved mandates, risk parameters, and investment objectives.
• Evaluate market trends, investment opportunities, and economic indicators to guide strategic decisions.
• Monitor portfolio performance and implement corrective actions when necessary.
• Oversee asset al
location, valuation processes, and portfolio rebalancing.
• Ensure all fund activities comply with applicable regulations, including those prescribed by SEBI or other regulatory authorities.
• Liaise with compliance teams to maintain up-to-date policies, internal controls, and reporting requirements.
• Keep track of regulatory updates for AIFs business, provide timely updates to management, and ensure implementation of the same.
• Attend board and committee meetings, providing insights on portfolio strategy, risk exposure, and fund performance.
• Implement robust risk management frameworks across investment operations.
• Oversee internal audits, PPM audit risk reviews, and due-diligence processes.
• Assist in investor due diligence including AML/KYC checks, world check screening, and FATCA Compliance.
• Supervise front-office functions related to investment decision-making and execution.
• Coordinate with middle and back-office teams to ensure smooth settlement, valuation, reporting, and reconciliation processes.
• Support the formulation of standard operating procedures for investment operations.
• Update the investment compliance monitoring portal.
• Provide accurate and timely information to investors, regulators, and internal stakeholders.
• Assist in developing investor presentations, fact sheets, and portfolio disclosures.
• Manage queries related to fund performance and strategy.
• Liaise/communicate with SEBI, RBI, Trustee, Lawyers, Investment Team, Fund Administration Team, investors, etc.
Qualifications & Experience:
Educational Requirements:
- Post-graduate degree in Finance, Commerce, Economics, Management, or a related discipline from a recognized institution.
Professional Certifications:
- Mandatory valid NISM-Series XIX-D/E certification (or any updated equivalent regulatory certification as applicable).
Experience:
- Minimum 4-5 years of relevant experience in fund management, portfolio management, investment analysis and strategy, and capital market operations.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong understanding of securities markets, investment products, and portfolio construction.
• Proficiency in financial analysis, valuation methods, and risk assessment.
• Familiarity with regulatory frameworks governing fund managers.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making abilities.
• High level of integrity and ethical conduct consistent with fiduciary obligations.
