As a Financial Analyst at Amazon's Finance Operations, Accounting & Analysis (FOAA) team, your role will involve supporting the Fixed Assets team in partnering with the Global CAPEX Finance teams to launch, operationalize, and maintain payments infrastructure. You will have the opportunity to work independently on projects, provide project management updates, and coordinate with global accounting teams to establish communication channels. Your responsibilities will also include identifying and implementing best practices, supporting financial reporting and analysis, and participating in User Acceptance Testing (UATs). Additionally, you will be involved in long and short term financial planning, ad-hoc business analyses, and financial modeling, presenting recommendations to senior management, and ensuring financial policies and controls are in place and operating effectively. Key Responsibilities: - Work independently on projects and support global business teams in designing and implementing payment methods and new products • Provide project management updates and transition new processes to support the Amazon accounting team • Coordinate with global accounting teams and maintain strong communication channels • Identify, implement, and adhere to best practices for new project launches • Offer coaching, support, and guidance to the team • Perform financial reporting, support monthly P&L analysis, and financial forecasts • Develop and report on Finance Business Integration (FBI) team performance metrics • Assist in User Acceptance Testing (UATs) in coordination with business and accounting teams • Measure and report progress on key business goals • Provide inputs for monthly and quarterly business reviews • Facilitate business reviews with data analysis and follow through with actionable items for improving business metrics • Participate in long and short term financial planning • Perform ad-hoc business analyses and financial modeling • Demonstrate understanding of accounting principles and internal controls • Ensure financial policies, procedures, and controls are in place and operating effectively • Drive process improvements to enhance controls • Participate in strategic initiatives and special projects as required Qualifications Required: - CA with 0-4 years of post qualification experience in Month end closing of Books of accounts, working on various sub-ledgers, Accounting Knowledge, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Reporting activities • Fluency in Microsoft Excel • Advanced analytical skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment Preferred Qualifications: - Experience in managing finance operations for accounts payable, accounts receivable, or payroll • Knowledge of standard software including Excel, Access, Oracle, Essbase, SQL, and VBA skills • Experience working with stakeholders • Good communication skills Amazon's inclusive culture empowers its employees to deliver the best results for customers.
