As an Equity Research Analyst at our company, you will play a crucial role in supporting the investment team by identifying, analyzing, and monitoring public equity investment opportunities.
Your intellectual curiosity, attention to detail, and passion for fundamental research will be essential in providing insights that guide our portfolio decisions across various sectors and geographies.
• *Key Responsibilities:**
- Conduct bottom-up, fundamental research on publicly traded companies spanning different sectors and regions.
• Analyze company financials, earnings reports, industry trends, competitive positioning, and other relevant factors.
• Engage in primary research through expert interviews, conference calls, and management discussions.
• Prepare comprehensive reports encompassing industry overviews, management insights, and more.
• Stay updated on news, macroeconomic indicators, and events affecting portfolio holdings and coverage universe.
• Maintain well-organized research materials, databases, and documentation within internal systems.
• Have exposure to contributing to sell-side earnings reports or forming opinions based on such reports.
• *Qualifications:**
- Bachelors degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or CFA is preferred.
• 3-5 years of experience in equity research (buy side/sell side), investment banking, or private equity.
• Proficiency in financial statements, modeling, and valuation techniques (DCF, comparables, etc.).
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and communication skills.
• Excellent skills in Excel, PowerPoint, and data services (CapIQ, AlphaSense, etc.).
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-performance environment.
• A deep curiosity about businesses, markets, and investment dynamics.
• *Preferred Qualities:**
- Wide sector expertise is advantageous; understanding the core functionality of different industries is a plus.
• Prior buy-side experience or exposure to hedge funds is highly preferred.
• Self-starter mindset with meticulous attention to detail and a high level of intellectual integrity.
