The POWER/UTILITIES Equity Research Associate position would likely involve fundamental research on companies within the POWER/UTILITIES sector, including analysing their financials, business models, and industry trends.
The role would also entail financial models, help the lead analyst preparing reports, and investment recommendations to support investment decisions.
Responsibilities
Collating sector data on monthly, quarterly and ad-hoc basis.
Conducting on-ground research by visiting bank branches and speaking to POWER/UTILITIES distributors.
Financial modelling of POWER/UTILITIES companies and analysis thereof.
Research on specific companies and industry.
Draw company specific insights by analysing industry and competitive landscape.
Prepare quarterly result updates.
Write regular research notes.
Contribute to channel check notes.
Update financial models with quarterly and annual data from quarterly statutory filings, investor presentations and annual reports.
Working on client requests and adhering to timelines.
Experience
POWER/UTILITIES background (either research or industry)Well versed with excel/financial modellingAbility to grasp financial concepts quickly
Work Environment
Comfortable with working long-hours (11-12 daily) and sometimes weekends.

Education: CA / MBA / CFA / PG in Finance
