We are looking for someone to:
supervise and conducting independent validations of credit risk models in line with current regulatory and internal policy frameworks:
Collaborate with model developers and engage stakeholders across the organization.
Define validation scope based on model use case, complexity, and materiality.
Lead the development and maintenance of validation standards and stay abreast of regulatory and market developments.
Evaluate the model risk, including model robustness analysis, identification of limitations, and their assessment.
Promote consistency in validation practices
Guide and mentor junior validators.
Drive internal initiatives
Your team
You'll be working in the Corporate Credit Risk Pillar-1 Model Validation team within MRMC India.
We are a team of 13 people, located in Zurich and Mumbai.
The team is responsible for the independent validation of the Corporate Credit Risk models used for regulatory and internal risk management purpose e.g., Pillar-1, IFRS-9 etc.
Your expertise
Post graduate degree in quantitative Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, or quantitative Economics;
Senior experience (8+ years) in model development and/or validation, preferably in banking or financial services.
Strong foundation in statistical and econometric methods and have worked in the area of credit risk.
Familiarity with financial regulations (Basel, IFRS9, etc.)
Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail and a challenging mind-set.
Ability to communicate technical findings to diverse stakeholders.
Self-motivated, collaborative, and capable of working independently to high standards.
Familiarity with statistical modeling tools (R or Python preferred).
Proven project management skills, taking end-to-end responsibility regarding quality and deadlines as well as timely escalating of issues
Strong communication skills across all organizational levels.
