As an integral part of the global risk, credit & compliance team at AIR8, your primary objective will be to contribute to the risk policy setup, develop credit underwriting competence, and drive data-driven risk innovation to facilitate business growth.
You are expected to possess a comprehensive understanding of clients' profiles, supply chain operations, and funding pain points.
Moreover, deep knowledge of supply chain financing products, strong risk underwriting skills, and a passion for data-driven risk model innovation are crucial to providing high-quality and efficient credit decisions.
• Support in establishing the overall Air8 credit risk management framework and continuously monitor its implementation to ensure exceptional risk performance.
• Underwrite risks associated with international suppliers and buyers, enhancing underwriting quality and efficiency through the utilization of tech tools, alternative data, and innovative methodologies.
• Manage credit risk exposure within the designated portfolio by conducting risk assessments and monitoring counterparties.
Execute risk mitigation solutions in alignment with the company's risk appetite and credit policy to foster business growth.
• Engage proactively with external stakeholders such as funding partners and insurers to secure support for our risk framework, facilitating smooth asset distribution.
• Provide high-quality risk reporting at the portfolio and country levels.
Additionally, handle ad hoc projects in specific areas or countries and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Qualifications Required:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, statistics, mathematics, computer science, finance, economics, or related fields.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in credit underwriting within financial institutions or fintech sectors, with a focus on SMEs.
• Prior exposure to cross-border trade finance, receivable finance, factoring, credit insurance, supply chain solutions, SME coverage, or relevant domain expertise is highly preferred.
• Proficiency in identifying, analyzing, and solving problems in a structured manner.
• Independent, self-driven, mature, resilient, and capable of handling pressure effectively.
• Demonstrated ability to learn quickly, collaborate within a team, and adapt to a multicultural environment.
• Strong communication skills in business English.
