Job description

Role Overview: As a Credit Analyst at Standard Chartered, your primary responsibility will be to ensure quick turnaround on new to bank (NTB) and new deal proposals while maintaining BCA quality within a 5% threshold. Your role will involve conducting thorough financial analysis of companies, reviewing financial statements, assessing credit risk, and providing timely and accurate credit reports to stakeholders. Additionally, you will collaborate with relationship managers and other teams to support business development and risk management. Key Responsibilities: - Quick turnaround on NTB and new deal proposals. • Maintain BCA quality within a 5% threshold. • Keep credit reverts to a minimum, with no more than 1 referback per BCA. • Ensure downgrade to GSAM < 90 days in EAR to be Nil for portfolio control. • Maintain satisfactory audit grades and 100% commitment to the code of conduct. • Complete mandatory e-learning in a timely manner. • Conduct comprehensive financial analysis to evaluate credit risk. • Review financial statements, industry reports, and relevant data to assess financial performance, liquidity, and solvency. • Provide credit ratings and recommendations based on analysis and industry knowledge. • Monitor credit performance of existing clients to identify risks and opportunities. • Deliver credit reports to internal and external stakeholders promptly and accurately. • Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes for compliance and best practices. • Collaborate with teams for business development and risk management support. Qualification Required: - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills. • Proficiency in financial analysis software and tools. • Exceptional communication and presentation skills. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
