**Role Overview:**
As part of the Credit & Client Risk Management team within CCIB, your role will involve delivering best-in-class credit analysis, monitoring, and credit administration work.
Your main responsibility will be conducting a thorough credit assessment of counterparties, proposing internal corporate ratings, assessing sustainability & environmental risk, fraud risk analysis, and reputational risk.
You will submit written recommendations for approvals to the credit risk department.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Conduct a comprehensive credit assessment of counterparties, proposing internal corporate ratings, and assessing sustainability & environmental risk, fraud risk analysis, and reputational risk.
• Continuously monitor credit profiles and OR strategy.
• Support the CCIB Client Coverage team for Credit Analysis and other Client Risk activities.
• Evaluate the financial performance of corporate clients by analyzing financial statements, economic conditions, industry trends, counterparty performance, client strategy, and management assessment.
• Ensure accuracy of internal risk ratings and input financial and economic data in the rating system.
• Collaborate with onshore Analysts and credit officers to evaluate risk and monitor a client portfolio.
• Research, write, and present financial and industry analysis impacting credit decisions.
• Analyze and spread financial statements through a credit lens.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives.
• Lead by example, set expectations, and collaborate with stakeholders.
• Apply sound judgment, critical thinking, and drive initiatives with minimal supervision.
**Qualifications Required:**
- Master's degree in Business/Finance/Accounting or relevant professional certifications such as CA/CFA/CPA or equivalent.
• Relevant experience in credit analysis and credit support roles in the CCIB or Global Banking Sector (minimum of 3 years in Credit Analyst roles).
• Good conceptual knowledge on accounting fundamentals and financial and banking products.
• Ability to hold dialogues with clients and external stakeholders.
• Excellent oral & written communication and presentation skills.
