Join our team of Strategy & Transactions professionals to help guide Deloitte client service teams through some of the critical moments and transformational initiatives.
From strategy to execution, this team helps deliver integrated support covering valuation modeling, cost optimization, restructuring, business design and transformation, infrastructure and real estate, M&A, and sustainability.
Work alongside teams every step of the way, helping them navigate new challenges, avoid financial pitfalls, and support in providing practical insights at certain stages of their journey—before, during, and after any major transformational projects or transactions.
As an experienced Consulting M&A Human Capital Analyst at Deloitte Consulting, you will be responsible for individually delivering high quality work products within due timelines, and as needed, mentoring or directing junior team members or liaising with onsite/offshore teams to understand functional requirements.
As a Human Capital practitioner in the M&A practice, you will serve as a trusted advisor to clients in both the corporate and private equity space.
You will lead workstreams as part of a larger engagement, including managing client relationships.
Your role involves delivering client engagements that identify, design, and implement Merger & Acquisition services, with a focus on Organization Transformation and HR Strategy & Excellence.
Responsibilities include Human Capital Due Diligence, where you will perform assessments of compensation, benefits, HR compliance, labor relations, HR communications, operations and technology, talent, and culture to identify and quantify transaction risks and opportunities. A key focus will be on both traditional financial and compliance risks associated with compensation and benefit programs, as well as deal risks related to HR operations and technology, organizational culture, and broader labor and talent.
You will also assist in Change Management and Communications, helping to implement strategies related to M&A by empowering leaders and managers, reducing anxiety, and fostering enthusiasm through organizational change assessments, holistic programs, stakeholder engagement, and effective internal/external communications.
Cultural Alignment involves understanding and assessing legacy cultures, defining future-state cultures, and developing cultivation plans.
You will lead HR Functional Integration, including HR Systems, Service Delivery, Total Rewards, Payroll, Leadership Development, and Talent Strategies.
Workforce Optimization tasks will include identifying and transforming workforce composition and capabilities to match future needs, delivering end-to-end transformations of workforce programs and services across domains like Branding & Acquisition, Rewards & Well-being, Performance, Learning & Career Mobility, Leadership & Teaming, and Diversity & Inclusion.
For Organization Strategies, you will assist in developing organizational design to enable future-state strategy, supporting the design of combined or separated operating models, and facilitating workforce transition processes.
Additionally, you will support multiple concurrent acquisitions, divestitures, and other transactions, identify and monitor risks and issues for various projects, and collaborate with subject matter experts in Human Capital.
You will contribute to a team committed to diversity and inclusion, providing service excellence by identifying client business issues, determining needs with innovative approaches, validating analysis, and developing recommendations, while overseeing deliverables quality and building strong team relationships.
The Strategy & Transactions team's mandate is to enable clients' growth, optimization, and fundamental business change through M&A, divestiture, and restructuring services.
This offering supports pre-deal and post-deal integration, divestiture, and major restructuring to achieve deal value and synergy targets.
Our teams lead all people aspects of transactions, leveraging commercial awareness and professional expertise to deliver optimal client outcomes.
Qualifications include a BA/BSc/BCom/BTech (including 2025 graduates) with a minimum of 6 months functional/consulting experience and 6 months HR consulting or industry experience.
Good to have skills include 6+ months in human capital M&A consulting, financial statement and operations analytics, strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills, proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, and experience in medium-to-large-sized teams.
This role is located in Bengaluru/Hyderabad/Pune.
