As a CIB Portfolio Manager at Wells Fargo, your primary responsibility will involve monitoring, documenting, underwriting, and reacting to the credit quality of an assigned portfolio of loans within the CIB Portfolio Management functional area.
You will contribute to large-scale planning related to the functional area and identify opportunities for process improvements within your scope of responsibilities.
Your role will also include the following key responsibilities:
- Review and analyze less complex business, operational, or technical assignments that require research, evaluation, and selection of alternatives
• Exercise independent judgment to guide medium-risk deliverables
• Present recommendations for resolving more complex situations and exercise independent judgment in developing expertise in functions, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
• Collaborate and consult with functional colleagues, internal partners, and stakeholders
Qualifications required for this role include:
- 2+ years of CIB Portfolio Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education
Desired qualifications include:
- 2+ years of credit risk experience in a financial institution
• Knowledge of capital markets and counterparty credit risk, including major financing and OTC traded products
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail
• Ability to execute in a fast-paced, high-demand environment while balancing multiple priorities
• Demonstrated commitment to risk management and core values of the organization
Additionally, a CA/CFA/BS/BA degree or higher in business administration, economics, finance, or a related field is preferred.
Your job expectations will involve processing new or changes to limits, coordinating requests with Risk, reporting new business flows, inputting credit limits into the Wells Fargo Risk System, performing underwriting for sectors covered by the CCM team, and identifying opportunities for process improvements within your scope of responsibilities.
You will also be involved in the Desk Limit Program (DLP) and Agent Lending Disclosure (ALD) Management, which includes various key activities such as tracking counterparty and product exposures, coordinating exception processes, distributing monthly portfolio reporting, and performing annual counterparty and program reviews.
