Chief Investment Officer (CIO)

Full-time Pune Position Summary We are looking to hire an exceptional Chief Investment Officer (CIO) to lead our investment strategy, research process, portfolio construction, and team development across our PMS and AIF platforms. The ideal candidate will bring deep market insight, proven fund management capability, and leadership maturity to help shape the firm’s long-term performance and culture. This is a leadership role with both strategic and operational responsibilities, with clear visibility toward equity ownership and long-term alignment. Key Responsibilities Define and lead the firm’s overall investment philosophy, asset al location framework, and sectoral approach across PMS and AIF mandatesDeliver performance in line with risk-adjusted return expectations over 35-year cyclesAlign investment process with long-term client objectives and firms value systemPortfolio ManagementDirectly manage flagship PMS/AIF portfolios with AUM of 5000 or above MandatoryOversee asset selection, position sizing, entry/exit timing, and liquidity managementMonitor macro & micro risks; implement hedging or tactical asset al location if requiredResearch OversightInstitutionalize deep fundamental research across sectors, themes, and capital cyclesLead and mentor a high-performing investment team including sector analysts and portfolio managersPromote original thinking, deep diligence, and thesis-driven investingTeam Building & People LeadershipAttract, develop, and retain top investment talentFoster a culture of intellectual integrity, curiosity, and performance ownershipBuild succession and scaling capabilities for future growthStakeholder AlignmentCollaborate with the CEO on strategic initiatives including product pipeline, client conversations, and investor educationParticipate in key client and partner meetings as neededEnsure compliance with SEBI regulations and internal risk/governance frameworks Preferred Profile Minimum 10 years of relevant experience as a Fund Manager Track record of managing ₹5,000 Cr or more AUM across equity strategies. Demonstrated ability to generate consistent risk-adjusted returns across market cycles. Experience within PMS / Mutual Fund / AMC environment. Qualifications CFA, CA, MBA (Finance), or other relevant qualifications preferred Integrity, long-term orientation, and alignment with the firms investment philosophy.
