As a Credit Analyst at Standard Chartered, your role involves providing insightful, relevant, succinct, and timely credit analysis of a portfolio of SCBs clients. Your responsibilities include proposing counterparty credit grades, ongoing monitoring for credit-material events, and analyzing clients from industry-specific perspectives. Your analysis should be attuned to the needs of Client Coverage and Risk, offering a forward-looking opinion on business and financial risk elements, guarantee, and security arrangements. You will support Client Coverage and Risk in developing client strategies and executing credit analysis-relevant matters. Key Responsibilities: - Provide insightful credit analysis by discussing industry dynamics, competitive positioning, management strength, strategy clarity, and financial performance expectations • Assess balance sheet strength, financial policy, treasury activity, and vulnerability through ratio analysis and stress testing • Evaluate risks associated with transactions, complete financial analysis, spreads, scorecards, and other relevant documents • Support business in structuring deals, monitoring covenants and risk triggers, and reporting updates to credit • Provide credit coaching to newer team members and support ad hoc projects and strategic initiatives Qualifications Required: - Strong knowledge of financial statement analysis, credit analysis, risk management, and internal controls • Ability to address customer needs, demonstrate analytical thinking, and apply industry knowledge • Proficiency in problem management processes, account management, and understanding customer behavior About Standard Chartered: Standard Chartered is an international bank committed to making a positive difference for clients, communities, and employees.
