Associate / Analyst – Investments

We are looking for an Investment Analyst / Associate to join our investment team for a full-time position based out of Bengaluru. S/he will be reporting directly to the Investments Leader and play a key role in sourcing, evaluating, and executing investment opportunities, while also contributing to portfolio growth and fund-level strategy. Job Description · Evaluate opportunities, identify right prospects and build a strong deal pipeline of startups seeking funds and maintain the deal tracker accurately · Identify start-ups that are seeking funds for growth; Conduct initial review & filtering of deals · Carry out detailed diligence of the shortlisted targets and build/ present the Investment Memorandum to the IC; Help in managing founder expectations and build relationships · Engage with the agencies conducting the legal, tax and financial due diligences and coordinate to ensure timely and detailed coverage · Be part of the entire process of internal and external due diligence, structuring, approvals, negotiations, contracting and deal closure · Actively engage with and build relationships across the start-up ecosystem such as with Angels & VCs, incubators & accelerators, Investment Bankers, sector events etc. in order to source new investment opportunities · Carry out market assessment, segment & competition analysis periodically to build/ refine investment thesis & identify new startups, technologies, sectors & opportunities in the market · Assist in obtaining approvals from investment and ethics committees · Identify existing gaps and solutions for the growth of portfolio businesses post investment · Engage with current or potential investors when called upon, to keep them abreast of deal prospects and status · Pro-actively contribute to fund level thinking and strategy, marketing and branding activities · Integrate AI and build suitable tools to expedite and improve quality of investment processes. Skills and Qualifications · Overall relevant work experience of 2-4 years for Analyst or 4-8 years for Associate · CA or MBA from a top-ranked management school; CFA Level 2 cleared for Analyst, or CFA Level 3 cleared for Associate • required · Venture Capital / Private Equity / Financing / Consulting experience is preferred · Strong and demonstratable analytical and communication skills · Possess key insight and understanding of industry/ services sectors · Have access / capability to build strong network across the start-up ecosystem · Ability to handle multiple priorities to plan & manage a variety of projects simultaneously Compensation: · Combination of fixed salary, variable pay in the form of bonuses & carry share in fund · CTC: 12L-18L for Associate; 8L-12L for Analyst • based on relevant experience About Mount Judi Ventures Mount Judi Ventures is a Bengaluru-based ethical investment fund focused on growth-stage startups.
