Job Summary-:To manage equity investments and support portfolio performance through in-depth research, stock selection, portfolio construction, and risk management while ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines and investment mandates applicable to life insurance funds.
The role is designed for high-potential investment professionals aspiring to transition into a Fund Manager position by developing expertise in security selection, portfolio construction, and investment strategy within the regulatory framework applicable to life insurance companies.
Key Responsibilities:1.
Equity Research & Investment AnalysisConduct fundamental research on listed companies across sectors.
Build and maintain detailed financial models, earnings forecasts, and valuation models.
Analyze macroeconomic trends, industry dynamics, and company-specific developments.
Generate investment ideas and provide buy, hold, and sell recommendations.
Monitor portfolio companies and track key performance indicators.
Prepare investment notes, sector reports, and presentations for the Investment Committee.

Fund Management & Portfolio SupportAssist Fund Managers in portfolio construction and asset al
location decisions.
Monitor portfolio performance against benchmarks and investment objectives.
Evaluate portfolio risk, liquidity, concentration limits, and compliance requirements.
Support execution of investment strategies aligned with insurance liabilities and investment mandates.
Participate in investment committee discussions and present investment recommendations.

Market & Sector ResearchDevelop sector expertise and maintain coverage of assigned industries.
Prepare thematic research reports on emerging investment opportunities.
Conduct channel checks, management meetings, and industry interactions.
Analyze competitive positioning and business fundamentals of investee companies.

Risk & Compliance Ensure adherence to IRDAI investment regulations and internal investment policies.
Monitor portfolio risks including concentration, sector exposure, liquidity, and market risks.
Participate in risk review and investment committee meetings.
Ensure proper documentation and compliance reporting.

Stakeholder Management Collaborate with actuarial, finance, risk, compliance, and operations teams.
Interact with company management teams, brokers, analysts, and market participants.
Present investment recommendations to senior management and investment committees.
Qualifications & ExperienceMBA (Finance), CA, CFA, FRM, or equivalent qualification.
Strong academic background in Finance, Economics, Commerce, or related disciplines.512 years of experience in equity research and/or fund management.
Experience in institutional investments, mutual funds, PMS, insurance, or asset management companies.
Knowledge of life insurance investment regulations is desirable.
